Paintwork Inspection
After a thorough inspection, wash, and decontamination surface to reveal 'naked' paint (which refers to clean paint free of contamination), we were able to perform a complete inspection of the paintwork to better determine what procedures are required to restore the surface to a swirl-free, high gloss.
Here we see extensive damage to the paintwork, including heavy swirls and scratches.
This type of damage is often instilled in the paintwork due to improper cleaning of the surface, including dry-wiping the paint, using low-grade wash products, or improper wash and dry techniques.
Paint Damage & Polishing
All vehicles are subject to damage to the paintwork.
Prior to polishing, we measure and document 200+ measurements of the paintwork thickness.
We also mask off sensitive areas, such as rubber trims and black plastics to prevent damage.
Measuring the paintwork is vital to ensure its safety and long-term integrity, as well as to get a better understanding of the makeup of the painted surfaces so we can more confidently correct any damage. This vehicle had severe damage across its entirety, with heavy swirls and scratches. We also taped off areas of the vehicle that may be sensitive to damage during the polishing process to ensure no damage is incurred.

Here we are utilizing a 1" polishing pad to effectively and safely remove damage on the small, delicate areas of the paintwork.
OBSSSSD Show Wax
The final step of the process was to apply two coats of OBSSSSD Show Wax by Swisswax. This is a premium, high-carnauba content wax designed specifically to drastically enhance gloss. It's unique formula adds incredible depth and shine, and is the top choice for show vehicles or those desiring the best.
